Short Route 30 miles/3,700 ft. elev.

Long Route 50 miles/6,000 ft. elev.

Cross/Gravel/Mtb

LATE SPRING-FALL

Starting out in Talent, this route quickly climbs up Anderson Butte Rd. to the Jack Ash trail which winds its way down to the Little Applegate drainage, the short route continues on Jack Ash and exits via Griffin Ln. Whereas the long route connects with the Sterling Mine Ditch Trail which you'll ride for 21 miles before climbing back up Anderson Creek Rd. and descending back into town.

If you want some bonus trail and climbing, continue up to the top of Anderson Butte Rd. you'll reach the summit and start to descend down the other side. After about ~3.5 miles there will be a trail head for the Jack Ash Trail on your right. This section provides the best views but is more technical than the lower sections. Alternatively you can climb Anderson Creek Rd. and take a right at the saddle and the trail head will be on your left.
